My thoughts exactly. The idea of family dinner was to counter the idea that everyone sat in front of the TV not talking to each other or all went to seperate rooms to eat.

I love the family bite idea. My PILs always cheers before eating and there’s nothing cuter than a three year old yelling cheers and clinking glasses before a meal.

I was given them without my consent and three years after the birth of my daughter it’s still doesn’t feel right to me. I hate that nurse.

I am constantly looking for an XOVain replacement. This did not do it for me, either. Show me how the product looks before and after or don’t bother...especially if it costs over fifty fucking dollars.

My father doesn’t speak to any of his four children or his four granddaughters. He’s not a terrible man. He just doesn’t know how to handle adult children. He’s incapable of reaching out. I haven’t spoken to him in eleven years.

I really don’t get it. I was a starred commenter under two systems and ungrayed in the first kinja move and yet here I am three years back in the greys...

Locals ride the rides at the magic kingdom and eat at Epcot. The food at Epcot a great.

Water comes up over his head... “I just don’t see glub glub glub.”

Please post this everywhere.

It’s called an Electra Complex but I don’t think modern therapists give much credence to Freud (or Jung in this case) anymore.

Same here. Metabolism must figure in. If I take half a benadryl I’m out in fifteen minutes. I presume he gave them something stronger but benadryl kicks my ass. It might as well be Xanex for me.

I grew up in Kansas. We had drivers ed in high school. I wouldn’t have been able to get a license if my parents had had to pay extra for it.

I like lots of soapy shows; as I noted in the initial comment, I just really don’t like it when people use their love of the show as if it conferred some sort of expertise on them. Many people I know (mostly students) who like the show use it as a justification for their cynicism toward politics—I find this

Nothing. Watch Revenge or Nashville.

So I know that this is an unpopular opinion but I hate this show and I think less of anyone who likes it. It’s stupid, soapy garbage...which I could get behind except that people who like it also try to demonstrate their political bona fides through their support of the show. As someone who studies/teaches politics, I

There are many reasons to plea. You take the plea because you don’t trust the jury or can’t afford a defense.

We’re not “back” to anything.

Even the little bitty coquinas do this.

Totally true. But it doesn’t change the fact that the OP didn’t get the facts right. Sessions was an embezzling fucking creep. No denial on my part there.

It was Bill Clinton. He fired William Sessions in ‘93.
