This is pretty much what they are doing. Increase Xbox live gold prices to make ultimate more enticing. Essentially forcing people to switch when the value is better.
Maybe I just have too big of hands but I have always hated playstation controllers, only because of the thumbstick locations. I cannot walk right while looking left or I hit my thumbs together. Everything else on the controller feels great though.
Nintendo tried to do that with a phone app you had to link to your account... Not near what we all want. We want an on system discord function so we do not have to use our phones for a discord type function.
I blame Elder Scrolls Morrowind on the OG Xbox. I was young enough not realize inversion was a setting while playing it at a friends house. I got hooked on the game and ever since I cannot play without inversion on.

That’s not quite how it works. If you upgrade from xbox live subscription to gamepass ultimate it changes the value of the sub to the same value for ultimate. For example: $60 per year for xbox live would net you $60 worth of ultimate (or 4 months). Changing your 3 years xbox live to ultimate would only get you 1 year…
Worst that happened to me was when my brother saved over my 17 hour save of KOTOR II. I was so mad. To this day I always make two saves now. Even if it is an hour of gameplay apart.

I played one similar a few months back on android. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. it was pretty fun but I didn’t get much into it. I’ll have to look into this one.
The cost of that ship though. For a small organization like the resistance. Not worth it. they’d have to develop similar ships with hyperspace drives but nothing else to them really.

Oh and to add. As long as the games don’t become pay to play. Loot boxes and things you buy with real money should not give you a huge advantage in the game.
