This is so sad (as in pathetic) and weird.

People are fucking weird. Thanks for the info!
While it’s been successful, pretty sure the average viewer is around 52 years old. I read it in the NYTimes the other day and it’s already disappeared off the tv page.. aha, found it: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/13/business/media/television-advertising.html Honestly, all these average ages are crazy.
And the racist/sexist/homophobe is never accountable for the mistakes or shitty things they did at the beginning of the episode. All forgotten!
Right, then she had a eureka moment and realized that the argument she constructed to win was actually “correct” (it’s not). As in, she may have come up with it in order to win a debate, but that’s not where she left this disgusting idea.
Who has this kind of money, to just keep getting degrees?! And at Yale? Come on. This is twenty years of tuition.
At least it would be an actual twist.
I think it’s two parts of the same problem. Yes, white women are often easily forgiven socially and excused away as childlike or innocent. At the same time, there usually is also some white dude with more power, more money, and more influence who never takes the fall at all, while women are the public scapegoats.
This should be in the actual post. I remember after college, being crazy broke, and telling my mom I was going to a movie. She said that I must not be “that broke.” I said, no, I am, I just also need to maintain my sanity and remember that I’m a person.
I finished The Magicians season 3 this weekend and caught up on The Americans current season. Easily two of the most interesting, risky, unexpected shows on tv (in such different ways).
Honestly, the thing that has helped me the most is figuring out how to cook veggies and other healthy stuff to my tastes. I eat way more veggies and I even recently ate tofu at home! Which was a huge first for me, but I chopped it up small and pan fried it, so it was like eating crispy deliciousness.
Just read the book last week and had exactly the same thoughts. There were so many witness sketches, creeps walking around at night, possible cars.. I just don’t understand, at all, how this guy couldn’t be found. He was so clearly local to one of the areas where he attacked! I really hope it’s him.
Seriously, it’s so awesome to see all these former Jez writers doing well in the media world!
and then, once the audience has developed a soft spot for the mom, her family still shits on her constantly. and then you hate them even more. jerks.
oh, the family is full of messed up, super selfish people. their interactions made me cringe and they are all so casually mean to each other.
Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?
This show has been on for so long that I started watching it in high school, stopped during college, and picked it up again in my late 20s.
I really didn’t like that, I’ll admit it. It didn’t make me like her more. However, with time, we’re able to say, yep, she was an asshole. It doesn’t seem like she’s an asshole all the time, though, and that’s important. And now she seems to do a lot of good! She uses her power for good and goes out of her way to…
I watched Big Love for the first time last year and she is incredible in that role!
You don’t have to apologize for liking it but could you explain why it’s funny? Obviously humor is subjective. It just seems like.. maybe sometime within 30 minutes, if you think you’re talking to a human, you might look at them/ask them a question/pay any attention to them. Also, “trying to learn” is a weird way to…
