If you read Salma’s op-ed piece, it doesn’t sound at all the same situation. Kate Winslet was hired to act; she didn’t imagine, write or produce this movie. And, clearly, Salma did have reservations about working with HW even to make her dream come true. We know that because she said that. If Kate Winslet feels the

Right, no one is exit polling theatergoers. Also, “massive variation between audiences and critics” seems to happen more often than not these days. It doesn’t automatically make a movie bad.

If some stranger tweeted that at me, I would absolutely report them. I think we have very different ideas about “innocent.”

I also dislike that it contributes to an even more fractured, shitty music ecosystem. That’s not their job to fix, but it’s frustrating as a consumer to see even more services, less and less content on each. I just don’t believe (but I could be wrong) that people are going to pay for subscriptions to all of the

I definitely think it’s arrogance. And a blindness to actual human behavior. The owners of Tidal saw that people like to stream music, and were unhappy with how little money they make off that activity. That totally makes sense. Instead of working with already-popular services with huge and kind-of loyal user bases,

Are you always this dismissive of other people’s thoughts and feelings, or just having a bad day?

Okay, but you really don’t think celebrities should be critiqued unless they kill someone?

Is this a joke? She can obviously enjoy whatever she wants. And as long as she pushes her “girl squad” and “women should support each other” while singing songs about taking other women down, we can criticize that. You acting like that’s unreasonable to even discuss is ridiculous. No one is taking anything away from

I used to like Matt Damon, but now I’m so cynical, I think he’s just setting up Casey Affleck’s eventual “aw it wasn’t even that bad, it’s not like it was rape”

Unfortunately for your friend, the money and positive feedback flow back to that person. The money doesn’t go to their “art”, it goes to them and it keeps them popular and gives them power. So your friend is supporting these activities, but doesn’t want to take responsibility for it. Very common but frustrating.

I would feel guilty. Guilty on a pile of money

I agree, I like seeing the relationships and the reasons for eventually running away.

The Karolina effect looks so great every time they are shown.

I’ve enjoyed a good amount of the original content. And I’ve noticed recently either a ton more licensed or produced international content and it’s been fun watching some Australian and British shows for the first time.

“We can make hot cocoa in our SMEG machine and then drop a floater in it!”

I understand maybe she was never truly “alternative” but she definitely played the part for a long time. I thought she was a badass woman fronting a rock band, working her ass off.

Right, why didn’t the guy say, “Okay man, get in this cab”? Seems like the easiest thing for everyone.

The lack of noms for The Americans is a crime, year after year. That team is putting together some of the strongest acting and writing on any network. I really want them to be recognized.

It also surprised me that Drama Actor is so dominated by really old guys. Is that really where the industry is?
