The article says they tested Copacabana and Ipanema for the bacteria and viruses. Those are two of the three most famous and highly attended beaches in Rio, probably all of Brazil.

I’ve been in every beach in Zona Sul, where the famous beaches are, and a lot in Zona Oeste and I’ve never had the slightest issue nor even heard of this before. Maybe I and everyone I know is immunized?
