That actually sounds awesome to me. I could totally get behind moving all of us to this system.

I see what you did there.

To showcase a new driving/racing game.

My personal rule of thumb is that whenever anyone purports to be doing anything for "the public good," I run away from them. Very fast.

I haven't read anything saying that Siri is no longer a "beta" product, but it is a brand new version that is supposed to be better.

The Thunderbolt display has both Thunderbolt and FW 800 ports built into it so there is that.

Google should really have taken a page out of Apple's playbook and worked the cell providers harder for control over pushing those updates.

That's not exactly the point that RobNYC was trying to make.

Unless I'm remembering it wrong, Google announced that their new maps app was going to go live on Android Market and iOS app store simultaneously.

I think the heavier integration with the auto manufacturers is key here. And, of course the Siri aspect as well.

"It's just in the worst place it could be in..."

Well, that is a possibility.

Actually, I think this is a better case than any that the author tried to bring up.

Whose ass are we talking about here. I might see that.

Actually, space elevators would be way too slow for a company like FedEx or UPS. It takes about 3-5 days just to get to orbit using those with the available, theoretical designs, and people would expect their packages much faster.

I'm constantly confused by the whole tax per mile thing. There have been similar plans thrown around in the states for a few years, but nothing enacted as far as I know.

That's why it's really important to read those treaties carefully before you get into them...

I think it's all incumbent on us to realize the limits of the vehicle we are in and act accordingly. I know there are stupid people out there that won't, but I think it's time to address that in a different way than is being proposed in this story:

I've always heard people rail against iTunes. I don't demand a lot from it, but I've never really had a problem with iTunes from a music playback and organization standpoint.

I started in the business at a service bureau right out of college, working for practically nothing.
