@DoubleException: The additional development costs are easier to swallow on the desktop model since the software generally sells for higher per unit prices.

@oyumurtaci: I may be misreading him, but I don't think that part of the comment was specifically directed at you.

@You: Actually, I believe it's:

@Kaiser-Machead v.2.4: Well, I can speak from experience in cars when trying to reduce weight.

@JakeWharton: I think the difference on a PC is that the different hardware makers don't mess around too much with the actual UI. You will still pretty much have a mouse and keyboard input (with all the same keys mostly). The differences are more in line with variations in video cards, mother boards designs, etc. But,

@shalegac: I think the responses are fairly reserved. Remember, the anonymity of the internet acts as a magnifier of response, increasing the emotion of the poster by a factor of at least 10.

NASA, or someone, needs to develop a better means of protecting astronauts from radiation for that long trip before we stop sending robots to Mars.

@kearneybobs: It is true that competition can drive down price. But consumers can draw a line in the sand and say that they will not buy the games at the prices set.

This is so short sighted on their part.

@kearneybobs: Price is a reflection of demand as much as it is a reflection of available competition.

@prestonspark: I agree. Climate change is definitely run by idiots.

@Darwinist: I would agree that most of the "evidence" that has been promoted is quite creative.

@cheese1756: "It's not lying, it's marketing."

@RDRR: So, what will they do when people like me start yelling for them to start the #@$%%ing movie already?

@madmolf: Very true, but I would counter with this:

Every time this comes up I am confused by it.

@musiqrulez: Well, someone should tell them that the buckets are for clearing water out of the boat, and not for piling more water inside the boat.

I was really hoping that they would come out with a new version of the original nook with a higher resolution/higher contrast screen.

They're focusing on the wrong problem.

@Curves: So true. We are powerless against them, when used properly.
