If things really are going well, I think we can say we've learned one very important thing about space travel:

I started back in 2000 with dropping my landline. Stayed that way until last year.

I like this one

It would be an absolutely great thing if people everywhere that are outraged over this took from it one thing:

@Arken: I'll grant that you have a point about regulating anything that has a reception or broadcast ability when it comes to being rated by the FCC. My point was unclear on that.

The government should not be involved in mandating any of the technology that we use in our gadgets.

@iRant: Nevermind. That was the Wall Street Journal.

"NY Times, get ready for a fight:"

@JHunterB: Don't worry. You get used to it.

@moonshadowkati: To see what Charliehorse means (I think), watch Alfred Hitchcock's The Rear Window.

@lacodia: I could hug you for this post.

@jchen1: But, with a corporation, we can all go to another company, or just stop using the services offered and stop giving our money to that company. If that happens and enough people do it, they will either change or go out of business.

Land of selfish assholes?

He just likes the way his car looks and doesn't want to screw up the appearance of it with plates.

@anAbsoluteLegend: I would argue that the government using its power to force you to modify your speech, it is the same thing.

This is not only directed at Gizmodo, but all of the Apple blogs;

I actually work in the prepress industry where we've been doing this sort of thing since before the word "Photoshop" was used as a verb.

@XSoph: While I don't really see it being feasible for everyone to "opt in" to all of the programs they feel are useful or valuable enough to them, I do see and agree with your point.

I need to start my new company that makes pool covers with printed lawn and playground scenes on them.

@theimmc: If you mean what I think you mean, I read a while back (could've been a a different airline) that you cannot bring anyone else in there with you and if you try, they jump on you quick and make sure you don't try anything.
