@Coreyja: No. Someone receiving the content would not have to pay. Not having to shell out for a movie is the same as profiting. They've received something for nothing.

@evil.attorney: I'm just wondering out loud, but wouldn't the reason that the DMCA not mention the legality of copying vs circumventing be because the copying is already illegal under the existing copyright laws?

I hope this gets AT&T to upgrade their DSL speeds then. The fastest I can currently get is 3mbps
