Kristian Bruun is such a delight on podcasts. He's like if Charlie Brown grew up to be surprisingly successful and well-adjusted, but no less Charlie Brown-y than in his youth.

"Looking forward to the memories" essentially means "I'm excited for the actual experience to be over," does it not?

I saw White Noise by myself at a weekday matinee, which is the perfect scenario for watching an ill-conceived thriller whose underlying thesis is "Some ghosts are jerks."

One of my favorite moments of the Craig Kilborn Daily Show was Kilborn asking Joey Lawrence that exact question about his multi-million-selling album.

That commentary is so good. Adam seems to be having such fun watching the movie. The part where Catwoman in disguise is seducing Bruce Wayne and West softly intones, "Careful, Bruce, careful…" is my favorite moment of any commentary track.

There's one story in the comics where Donald convinces Scrooge to pay him in ultra-rare coins from his money bin, knowing that Scrooge detests collectors and steadfastly believes that currency should be worth no more nor less than its face value. Once he realizes how much Donald stands to make from exploiting his

Y'know, I saw Hannibal perform the week before his Cosby call-out, and one of his lines was "So what Republican do you guys think is gonna be the next president?" When the crowd voiced displeasure, he just laughed and said, "Come on, you know after eight years of Obama, they're not gonna let another Democrat in there!"

His foot-breaking narrative is by far one of the high points of the past few seasons of Comedy Bang Bang.

Oh boy, you weren't kidding. Kristian's airplane story is phenomenal, the improv is a delight (with Shaun Diston as MVP), and the little bonus at the end is worth the wait.

It rewards relistening as well as any podcast I've heard. The week after the election when even the most comforting of my usual comfort entertainments felt empty and depressing, Spontaneation was the one thing I could rely on to boost my spirits. It's such a pleasant experience for me.

One that didn't make a huge splash with me on first listen but rose into the top ranks on revisiting is TV News Control Room. Even beyond all the fun Timecop business, Paul Scheer's eagerly homicidal intern is one of the all-time best Spont characters. Plus Erinn Hayes as an aspirational baby!

Yeah, it seems a little nebulous. Like with that new Kliph Nesteroff history of comedy podcast, they've been advertising that you can listen to the trailer on Stitcher Premium. Meanwhile, the actual episodes are all available on Howl, but it seems like the hosts have been told to downplay that. I assume there are all

Mr. Bobbles!

I couldn't say. I've been using Howl for a couple of years and so far only use the free version of Stitcher, but if you have to choose one it sure sounds like most of the eggs are going into the Stitcher Premium basket now.

My all-time favorite remains Rented Cabin in the Mountains, but you've placed this in some pretty rarefied company. I'm excited to listen.

This week's Hard Nation with Jessica Jardine was pretty great all around, but "Four bloated daddies looking for a Blimpie" may be my single favorite Earwolfian phrase of the year.

Any Handbook Heads who don't have Howl or Stitcher Premium are strongly advised to engage the trial period just for the Live at the UCB installment. Sean and Hayes sexually harassing Kumail Nanjiani for 90 minutes is everything you could hope for.

But a much higher representation of Kevin Dillons than most films of its era.

Serafina Tortelli!
