Has it really been a year and a half? It doesn't feel like it's even been a year, honestly. I guess it feels pretty recent because the verdict came down less than a month ago.
I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say I'm sure they mean well, in that they likely want to start discussion (in addition to making money), but the nerves around Trayvon's death are still pretty raw for anyone to be dramatizing it, no? Seems pretty damn insensitive.

It's really depressing how willfully unkind some people are. Even in the greyed comments on this post, there's a pretty representative slice of the transphobia that's out there. It's just such a depersonalization to ignore the most basic part of her wishes :(

I'm not a medical professional, but I would assume that as long as she was clean for at least a few months prior to becoming pregnant, and continues to take care of herself during her pregnancy, her baby would be just fine.
