I’m fully convinced they keep prolonging the anime’s final season for two reasons: They know the ending is shit and don’t want to deal with the backlash, and they hope to milk the show for all its merchandising opportunities they could before the ending completely killed the show’s reputation.

I liked the ending, if fit with the themes of the rest of the series, not sure why some people hated it so much.

First off, 7 days is insane. Holdback from the manufactures is paid out either annually or every 6 months. Yes the amount of holdback on each unit isn’t as much as the tax credit, but it’s not like this kind of delay is something new.

There’s definitely an eldritch Lovecraftian vibe to the place, like something really nasty lives on the planet but it’s currently out of sight. My guess is that this is the power that’s calling to Skoll (and the thing that Thrawn wants to get away from as soon as possible).

I don’t know, but it somehow boils down to the fact that Elon Musk, a person whose voice I hear and face I see at least three dozen times a day across every media outlet completely against my will is being silenced, alongside all of his fellow white men, whose opinions I am almost exclusively exposed to. 

The “lie” is a McGuffin that extremists, like Musk, use as a placeholder for whatever the reader or listener have already determined as the conspiracy against the “truth.”

It kinda felt like this was where the show took a hard left turn into horror, with Peridea’s rings being revealed to be purgill bones and the surface looking like something out of a From Software game. And there’s also the sense of something nasty living on the planet or maybe in its oceans, like Cthulhu done Star Wars…
