Agreed. The Shaido Aiel should die at the Book 5 battle. The end.

The ITR was as fast as a Mustang GT of the time, a GS-R wasn’t much slower. Do we really believe that a midrange version of this new Integra will keep up with a Camaro V6 or a Mustang Ecoboost?

Honestly, though, the thing that confused me the most was why Jordan made the Aiel be white-skinned and fair-haired even though they lived in a sun-blasted desert for 3,000+ years. I suppose it could have been to avoid real-world comparisons, but that’s really all i can think of”

I interpreted it as: in future turnings of the Wheel of Time (there are Seven Ages and those Ages repeat) the Dragon fated to confront the Dark One could be a woman wielding saidar.

Yes. People might risk Covid-19 in the middle of a pandemic for a movie they really want to see. But risk it again for a movie that you just saw?

except everyone said “OH MY GOD BLACK WIDOW DROPPED A GIANT % FROM THE OPENING WEEKEND”...

The best news for football would be if Jordan Love went out and threw for 400 yards and 4 TDs a game for the next two weeks.

Why? I mean, fuck Joe Manchin for being a coal business-owning idiot, but how does taking the time to remove him from office (and pave the way for a Trumper WV Republican to be Senator) help out in any way?

Eh, it’s more like, those women, standing firm for a millenium, bracing and training for the prophesied destroyer of the world to come back so they can confront him and contain him.

That would be hilarious if there are jumps between the later seasons, and entire books are summarized as off-screen happenings as Our Heroes reintroduce themselves.

Robert Jordan was influenced by the Vietnam War. Take the messy realpolitiks of the 1960s/70s in Southeast Asia, and transplant that into a fantasy setting where no one is really a “good guy”, there are several Major Powers vying for supremacy and influence, and innocent peoples are caught in the middle.

The way the showrunners can get around this is show that the non-Aes Sedai female channeler groups are very much in the know that a trans woman can channel Saidar and be accepted as a woman, but the blinkered Aes Sedai have no clue that it’s possible.

What, you couldn’t find where the Physician Parking was?

It can be both, but the strategy of reducing the number of government agencies providing valid IDs in urban areas is definitely malice first.

That’s some A+ cinematography there!  Makes me want to go visit.

Ivermectin, which if anything is proving more successful in studies

From bikelaw.com there were actually two groups of cyclists training on the same road, the teenage driver rolled coal over the first group, and was in the middle of trying to do it to the second when he instead drove right into them.

Then again, none of the advertising I have seen has shown anything of Thom Merrilin, and I thought maybe they were just going to remove him or combine his role with another character, but there is an actor listed as playing him on the cast list.

And my least favorite of all, some scrawny sickly looking dude just stops a gigantic orc’s sword just by holding his sword out. Just stops it dead.
