TBH Maya was gonna get fridged in that scene whether Ava was there or not. And that sucks. But I think everyone was so upset that their beloved siren wifu died that they shifted all the blame to the annoying new character that was there to “replace” her.

I agree Ava was bad in the base campaign, but I feel a lot of that hate is overblown. I’m fine with giving her a shot at a redemption arc.
