I think that it’s supposed to be an allusion to stereotypical mental assylum clothing. It’s also why his armor seems to have a lot of straps and harnesses and why it looks like he’s wearing clinical white clothes underneath the armor.

Ah my bad. I only stuck around on the stream for a good 15 min or so. Seemed like they were just continuing to kill bots and I’d seen enough. That just makes him seem more powerful IMO.
