I think maybe my favorite is how in the original Phoenix Wright trilogy, some returning characters had the same sprites but with slight costume changes. My favorite was Winston Payne, because he always came back with a wilder hairdo (which would get blown off by the end of the case).

Which is weird because I clearly remember people complaining about the lack of voice acting in some of the early games, especially the first Lego Batman game (because it was hard to tell what was going on since it was their first game not based on a preexisting plot or something).

“Underlords is also up against some stiff competition in the form of a League-of-Legends-flavored version of Auto Chess as well as an Epic Games Store variation on the theme created by—dun dun dun—the studio behind the original Dota 2 Auto Chess mod”

Just to be clear I’m not dismissing out of a difference of opinion, it’s because I don’t want to engage with negativity. It’s a waste of time imo, especially since most of the replies I dismissed were basically “actually you’re wrong and I’m gonna insult you a little bit too.”

And maybe if a friend of mine wanted to have that discussion that’d be fine. But some random person on Kotaku dot com isn’t really someone I want to engage with on that level right now. Like in your movie theater analogy, I’m choosing who I walk up to after the movie and who I walk away from.

True! That conference got me interested in a Final Fantasy game, which is no small feat!

Because I’m not looking for a discussion, I’m just here to say how excited I am? I don’t owe people their negative takes. Make your own comment if you wanna be a downer, don’t piggyback of my excitement.

I thought last year’s was pretty cool. Kind of a weird theater-hopping experience, but they showed off some cool games.

I’ve already dismissed, like, 5 replies telling me I shouldn’t be excited.

Nintendo really killed it. The other conferences got a “oh, that looks interesting” from me but the Nintendo hype is real!

Every transition in that presentation:

The George Foreman school of naming conventions.

This post just reminded me that they made a Pokemon fighting game where one of the playable characters was a chandelier. (Lampent’s evolution)

Yeah that seems about right. Going in with a premade team we were able to clear it in about that time. Our first team was mostly underpowered randos with no coordination whatsoever.

Please ask your Nurse Joy if Dynomax is right for you.

My first play through took somewhere between 30-45minutes. But that was going in totally blind and being completely underleveled/undergeared. I'm sure a more seasoned team could complete it in 15-20 minutes.

AND the minimum wage will be increased incrementally to $15. That's what a democratic trifecta will get ya!

Weirder is that Sproink’s evolution is Grumping, a bully Pokemon that uses it’s phychic powers to control other people and make them do whatever it wants. Sproink’s hard, constantly-bouncing existence must really change them.

I’m in the same boat. I’vebeen considering grabbing a subscription to EA Access too just to give it a whirl. But also I got a bunch of grinding left to do in Destiny if I wanna catch up with my clan. I hope Anthem does well because it does look kinda fun and it has pretty cool ideas (Primer/Detonator mechanics seem

Some problem, but also I’ll sometimes go in and edit video game music so it sounds more like traditional soundtrack music (a lot of VGOSTs just kind of trail off since they’re supposed to loop forever and that drives me crazy) or rearrange the order of the tracks so it makes more sense thematically.
