What gets me is that Ninja Theory is always like “we’re a serious big boy fighting game now” before turning around and pulling stunts like this.

I could really go for a straightforward battle Royale game. You got guns and maybe medkits and that’s it. It sometimes feels like these games go too crazy with gun attachments, shields, and whatever. I’d like a Baby’s First Battle Royale where it’s just “pick up a gun and shoot people.’
I think that’s just a problem with squads. You can get lucky and ambush one dude with 5k kills, but then you also got to deal with the rest of their (probably premade, similarly skilled) squad.
Patfinder is my favorite right now too. He’s the ultimate “well, at least *I* had fun” character.
This is true (my first victory was one of my squadmate's very first game and they were able to contribute by healing and pinging) but I've also reached that point in the game where it doesn't feel like I'm getting any better. I've hit this wall where it seems like I can't kill or contribute at all outside of…
Changing the blocky sprites into cutesy little dioramas is maybe the best design choice I ever seen for remaking a GameBoy game. Totally psyched for this!
Is there a dedicated “thank you” button? I’ll occasionally get a prompt after a teammate does something for me, but I’m kind of slow on the draw a lot of times and can’t hit the button fast enough.
To me, this is like asking for bowl of plain oatmeal after being served a pile of sizzling breakfast sausages. My favorite part of Sun and Moon was how the new style really dialed up how expressive and energetic the animation was compared to the more generic and canned the old anime style was. They were able to a lot…
Put a character behind an unlock and you are bound to get complaints about them being OP.
I like that this game has been known to the public for literally one week and people are arguing about the meta. “Bangalore is OP!” “Everyone knew Bloodhound would be strong from the start!” “Pls nerf Caustic!”
That sounds about right since you don’t get Legend tokens for your first few levels.
Yeah, that seems to be the case. My bad. Really weird decision to have the alternate color if a skin locked behind it's sister skin.
Should be worth noting that you get 600 Legend points (or whatever that currency is called) per level, so it takes 20 levels or so to unlock one of the characters. I’ve been getting about a level an hour so far (about 2-3 matches), just for a rough comparison to see how long it’ll take to unlock one dude.
Based on your time with the game, is The Division 2 what a real government shutdown looks like?
I suck too, but it’s pretty fun! Especially if you get a team that sticks together. It’s pretty amazing how much better you do if your team has the slightest degree of coordination (which is pretty easy with the com system).
Yeah, Mirage has a similar animation. I think they had the model for Bloodhound’s raven pal and were like “yeah we can use that a few more times.”
People getting really upset in this comments section because someone is finally using “so what if they’re <insert minority here>?” in the right context.
The anxiety is more “god I suck, everyone must hate me” than “I really don’t want to talk right now” because the later is my default setting in life anyway. But yeah, the ping system is pretty great in this game!
