Yes, that is... something.

So, is the new strategy to remove features, then add them back in order to make it look like they’re actually working on something meaningful? I think everyone appreciates work toward stability, but I am really curious when we’ll start seeing something new rather than the removal of what few features the game did come

Exactly. I made a similar comment, although I don’t think these people having an Articuno affects ANYONE, period. Even if you live near the gym they had placed it in, the worst thing that would happen is you try to beat it and fail. It’s CP isn’t even that high.

Haha. This. My six year old and two year old have similar battles over their toys and games.

Considering all of the other issues with the actual gameplay itself, I’d almost rather Niantic focus their efforts on making it enjoyable and deal with hackers and “cheaters” later. I mean, what’s there to cheat, right now?

First off, let me say that I really enjoy those screen ideas. Secondly and thirdly, fuck that clown in the sewer and Wonder Woman’s boobs looks incredibly uncomfortable.

Can’t a tool like this leverage offline maps? I’ve never worked with the API, but it doesn’t seem like it should be impossible for the site to download maps locally, as users make additions and have all future additions made to the local copy. Maybe Google doesn’t allow for that, web-side.

There was a comment on a previous post that posited the same gruesome, albeit hilarious theory.

They probably want to release a complete and working game to the home country.

It seems like it was rushed out to the app stores once the APK leaked during the original region releases. Just loading up the game, it feels incomplete and the number of obvious, gameplay-breaking bugs in numerous. I fully expect to see updates forthcoming, but it’s anyone’s guess as to what those updates will look

Can we just get Nintendo to sue them into the ground?

I’m curious. If you just let the game run in the background, does it still alert you if one pops up in your immediate area, or does the game need to be front and center? What about if the phone goes to sleep or locks?

Eh. It’s sort of exactly what I expected and very little of what I really want from a vampire game.

I played ESO through the Beta and, quite honestly, enjoyed myself a lot. When the game went live, I jumped to switch to a paid subscription too.

What a wonderfully sarcastic article. Adding the terrible screenshots to demonstrate the awful cinematography and ridiculous looking CGI really brings it home.

It really does look nice.

Bravo, Jason.

When I first saw that orc chick, I thought it was a spoof and not actually the trailer of a multi-million-dollar film. Then I saw another trailer and realized that yes, this movie is crap.

This is DOOM for me and always has been. I was never satisfied with anything less than 100% in a DOOM level, ever.

This should always be a thing. In many cases, the love and care put into a well crafted mod can out-do DLC packages, etc. Developers should recognize, address and reward members of a community that are capable of meaningful contributions to games that allow for third-party expansion.
