Eddie Jordan of course
The S90 has nice interior materials but it uses a transverse layout 4-cyl FWD-biased platform. So they had more money left to invest in the interior.
That, + needs a diesel and a wagon bodystyle for me to consider it.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to be in the position to afford a supercar like the GT. But, I have a feeling that I’d still have more fun in a higher trim Camaro, or Ford’s own GT35o, because:
Still has the front locker though.
1) Pushrod engines are much smaller than DOHC engines of the same displacement.
I grew up in the back of a 90 Loyale, 90 Legacy wagon poverty-spec, and 91 Legacy sedan! My parents liked Subaru. The Loyale was a non-turbo autotragic so they had to turn off the a/c when going uphill.
Well the extra power helps in roll racing, but really it’s about status, and a 390 hp 2018 M5 just won’t cut it in today’s world.
I’d rather have the G20.
I know a mechanic who talks exactly like this guy. The ironic thing is he hates my Camaro.
I have a CD8454 sitting in my closet. The build quality is really good. I used it for a while but eventually changed it out for something with USB connectivity.
I thought the appeal was that it was going to be (semi-)affordable. Maybe not a $10k Jalopnik special, but $50-60k just under Cayman pricing.

That smear campaign though
The E92 is heavier and more comfortable. It’s the E36/E46 M3s and their M coupe counterparts that would make me second-guess an M2 purchase. But compared to other modern cars the M2 is great.
The MDCT is certainly not as smooth at low speeds as the ZF8, but it suits the character of the M2 a lot better than the M6. I would still go manual though.
The Camaro would probably be more fun to drive with the manual. But not everyone wants to drive a manual. And it will never, ever stroke your ego the way owning a 6 figure sportscar does. I think that is something we as enthusiasts don’t like to admit desiring.
Wow they sure are going balls to the wall with all these performance variants.
