This makes no sense. A straight man cheating on his wife does not in any way disqualify him as a feminist. That's like saying a gay man cheating on his husband makes him a misandrist.

I read the actual thing and it was most definitely problematic. For example: calling the mentoring of people with a certain gender or race "discriminatory" is to not understand why these practices are important and badly needed in the modern world.
He should just come up with stories and have other people write and direct them, to be honest. He's got good ideas, but he has never really managed to do any of them justice.
Has he ever even seen any of his films? Not only has he not mastered dialogue, it is often just chunks of clunky, contrived exposition.
She also starred in two films which premiered at Cannes and won Best Director and Best Screenplay. The woman is doing fine. More than fine, even.
He's very attractive. I'll allow it.
Is this kind of "content" new to the AV club? I'd never come across stuff like this here. Cute dog, though.
He missed nuttin, though.
The character was a metaphorical stand in for Linda Cardelini's. That being said, it was indeed played by Neve Campbell. God, I miss Mad Men.
It's certainly more generic but it somehow feels right. I don't know if it's the right next step for her but it feels like an honest evolution. And authenticity in pop is a rare thing.
I doubt I'll like anything as much as I like A Crow Looked at Me. That album is perfection.
This is the definition of oscar bait. What a painful trailer that was.
Oh, I'm not saying it's a "good" twist. I wouldn't call anything about this movie good, really. I merely thought it was well handled, as in: Oh hey! here's a two minute scene that's well shot, directed and cut together.
Why not? It's so strange to me when people question the mere existance of films.
I mean, there is truth to what they're saying. Also, studios would never have a male superhero saying that "love will save the world" final speech.
I gotta get something off my chest: I'm glad Patty Jenkins is finally getting her big break but Jesus Christ, there's barely a scene in this movie that works as it intended to. The rythm is always off, the comedy never lands, the action is shoddy at best; Gal Gadot coasts on personality; the visual effects are…
I don't know if this counts, or if it even makes sense, but Broad City feels weirdly nostalgic to me already. I think they have accidentally anticipated the look and feel of it.
J.A Bayona is a talented man. He'll probably be able to save this franchise and do something decent with the material for once.
Ricky Martin, apparently. I learned this today.
Why anyone would get involved in a movie like this and expect not to be a hired puppet is beyond me.
