I’m lucky enough to have two that I absolutely love: a 2019 GTI Rabbit Edition (10K, 6-speed manual) that I bought off lease a few weeks ago and a Polestar-engineered 2018 V90 XC (which just ticked over to 25K). I’ll add an electric vehicle to the fleet when my workplace adds chargers (2024?), but I’m going to hold on

that flatbedder did an awesome job securing his load!! nothing came off.

The reason for the dramatic flare is because that was the Star they were using to calibrate the 18 mirrors. Is it a very faint star, and the first image that was taken has 18 different, fainter, dots. Now that all 18 mirrors are adjusted correctly, the Star appears incredibly bright, hence the lens flare. these trucker protests have gone too far.

Imaging artifact. Many of the images we get of deep space objects wouldn’t look like that with the naked eye.  Some artistic license is required since our eyes don't even see the wavelengths many imaging sensors do.

This is 100 percent correct. I am a car guy, love my cars and keep up on all maintenance and that kind of thing. But i have never once replaced a spare tire. With that said, I never go on the highway on a spare. The spare is to get you to the tire shop... or at worst through the weekend until the tire shop is open

Check the date codes of your tires people! Especially full size spares that might not see much usage.

Police give wipypo the pass. Agian.

Am I bad because I’m only disappointed they didn’t go for it?

Seriously don’t understand why people keep doing this shit. Also bollocks he was trying to clear water from his helmet and didn’t see the lights. The video quality is high enough that you can clearly see he has both hands on the bars, he sees the barrier and he hunches down to try to get under it.

lmao you buried this in the 8th paragraph of a 10 graph story.  the guy was given a clear directive from management and he chose not to follow it.  end of story.  any employee anywhere should expect to be fired for such a decision.

I-70 near Denver is the second worst-smelling place I’ve ever been in my life.

Your real problem is you have too many cars... if you got rid of most of them, you would also have far fewer car problems...

Neutral: I was just in Italy last week. Yes, you need a documented negative PCR test within 24 hours of arrival, a passport, and your vax card.

They’re a massive player in the industry - so there are a ton of their ships at sea all the time.  Accidents happen, and after Suez, those accidents will be reported on more frequently when they involve the same shipping company.

Navigable ship channels can be quite a bit smaller ...

Fantastic irony in that Ever Forward is no longer able to move Ever Forward

The following book had a reference or two from Wehrmacht vets referring to their “panzer candy”.  Too much of it and ones’ judgement went downhill.  The Luftwaffe pilot that was interviewed also went into the sort of other drugs that were being used and made the claim that at the time, heroin was Bayer’s #2 product

(I’m pretty sure that the US military still uses Speed or some variant of it during combat.)“
