Yes if the trailer separates due to a technical fault it would be bad.The trailer brakes would come on,limiting the damage, but still bad.

If it separates as intended due to wind, a trailer sliding on it’s side is less bad than the tractor and trailer.

So i guess it’s up to the boffins to weigh one against the other

My initial thoughts are no, it wont make things worse.
On one hand you have a semi-with-trailer rollover,on the other a trailer rollover with the semi staying mostly in it’s lane.

I’m convinced they want to build it.
The problem is they can easily make excuses not to - even from an ecological standpoint.
While they’re selling every car they can make it’s easy to choose the model that makes more money. The environment will barely notice which car is which.

I’m curious how this plays out.Eventually

Yes i saw that after posting. And your second sentence is perfect

There are already add-ons made for this. I think my favorite is the powered, steerable jockey wheel.
I doubt it’s the best solution but i like the simple brilliance of it

It’s nice, especially it’s ability to provide a quite campsite. No generators! YEEEEES!!

I just hope nobody’s pretending this is helping the environment much.Making a big battery pack that’s rarely used ,and will likely die of old age before it wears out isn’t ideal.
Apart from that little whine, go at it.It’s cool

Jeez ,the lengths some will go to avoid reversing.
Can we please, pretty please, change to a skills based licensing system already??
The fact retards like this are allowed on our roads is terrifying. You just know they’re going to react wrongly when a life or death moment comes.

*yes technically this isnt in america but

That statement by the company president sounds nice but they’re obviously
teetering on bankruptcy and are going to screw everyone they can in hopes of staying in business.

The best rejoinder i’ve heard in ages  🤣🤣🤣

I got all except for the first part.
A brief google search didnt enlighten me a whole lot.Was he trying to transmit electricity, radio communications or both?

I’m actually surprised at the relatively low figure of 160%.
Does this one post-office-apocalypse scene account for all of that increase? Then it kind of makes sense

I’m genuinely curious whether someone can (eventually)come up with a technique to mine this deposit in a safe way.
In any case nothing will happen for awhile now. When people start talking about making laws that stop future people from making laws, you know things (cough *people*)have gone to shit.

I’m sure you’re right and everybody else is wrong.
Congratulations for being stupid. And be careful not to fall off the edge of the earth

A kind of related question.
Have car engines always been plumbed to send hot water to the cabin heater straight from the block? That is -before it can go to the radiator?
I live in a warm country so never had reason to think of this before!

Interesting.
A minor question- you mention your older Leaf has inefficient heating. Why is that?
Is it because a lot of EVs now use heat pump style heating? Is it that which makes the difference?

So so funny.I’m stealing that phrase!

This just wont do. We cant allow common sense in f1!

Effectively, yes.  A country can lose it’s race if f1 isnt kept happy

I know everyone has given the ‘correct’ answer but that doesnt mean it’s the whole story.I’d carry one on the plane, even if i dont wear it all the time. What’s the harm?

This is almost funny. He doesnt have a clue
