And you can hear those people in the background saying the same dialogue that Al and Darius said as they walked by the first time. Definitely a fun little time loop thing happening there.

Are we supposed to doubt Earn? My read on the ending was far less cynical than the review’s. And it is in part, because Earn has become a better manager. Here, Al just went on an oddessy where his pixie dream guide had him doubting everything about who he is and what he’s got, and in the end when he projects those

he collapses in a doorway, a mirror of the guy in the Goofy hat from the earlier scene”-

it’s not just the music industry but every white dominant space that Black and non-white folks have to move through.

I could literally watch these vignettes all day! It's just so well done. It all feels so relevant. And what adds an extra layer is that while these themes are picked apart daily with onslaughts of poorly planned thinkpieces, the show manages to feel fresh with every story they tackle. It's a masterpiece, honestly. I

I dunno, I disagree that this fell flat. It revisited a lot of themes that have popped up in the show before (the desire for minority culture as long as you have the ability to contain it or escape from it at will being the big one) and I thought pulled them off pretty well from the jump. Miles can listen to his

She was born into it, didn’t choose it, and leaving it would cut her off from her family and likely many of her friends. She doesn’t proselytize at all.

I get the sense Jimmy may have been wanting, perhaps hoping for a different answer from Kim. The way he kept asking if he should do it, was like looking for permission. Kim's tact, however...

That’s the tool he used to cut the zip tie (also shown) and stab Bolsa.

The name Alvarez is new, but as a figurehead for the Peruvians he’s been a player in this drama since last year when Jimmy was ambushed with the bail money. The Peruvians are the ones with moles in the Salamanca cartel who sent the mercs to take the $7 million. They serve as a reminder that what we see in Albuquerque

Kim’s going to be fist-deep inside a toddler’s chest cavity ripping their heart out by the end of the season and I’ll still be like “honestly love that for her”

I figured Khalil was a thinly veiled Deray McKesson & the dude who Al refused to believe was actually black was definitely Shaun King.

I don’t understand. Both seasons of Atlanta never led to any narrative payoffs. Atlanta has almost always been an anthology-type, “each episode is self-contained” type with minor advancements in the plot either happening in the background or off-screen. How is this season any different for you?

Fucker been sowin’ some pretty heavy shit...

Hey, Black Mirror, this is how you do speculative fiction.

What should I do?

In reality, if you’re a black person with slavery-era white ancestors, it’s probably because a white person raped your black great-X-grandmother.

i think it pretty much went on record that this isn’t about the direct notoriety, more the byproduct of having some fame...it’s a show about the stuff between the cracks...purposely letting the big things we’d want to see, like Albert hitting the stage, live outside the edges of the mise en scene to expand the scope

There’s an amazing bit of acting from Seyfriend that legitimately stunned me in the last episode.
