This is one of the best full-cast performances, top to bottom, that I can remember. Every single one of them is 100% believable in their roles. But Seyfried is absolutely showing more than I ever knew she had. A+.

For real. I’ve always thought that she was a stronger actor than she gets credit for, but this was a whole new level. It’s one of the most impressive biographical performances I’ve ever seen. Especially playing such a weird, distinctive person. I think Naveen Andrews did a great job, too. I’m a big LOST fan and he was

That final sequence of Holmes at the office was just such a magnificent showcase of everything that made Seyfried’s performance here so great.

Wait, what didn’t make sense?

This is about the peak for these sad Nazi fucks - trolling a videogame.

Well, good thing all 3 episodes have made sense!

The reason Van was pushing people in the pool is the same reason dude was scamming them. They were billionaires because they were first bank in Cape Town, South Africa. Van wasn’t staring at the art. She was staring at that pic.

The documentary delves into this, and it looks like from the episode preview the show will as well, how Conrad and Michelle’s ersatz relationship could also be toxic, with him threatening her and calling her names and such.  And indeed she had on previous encounters urged him to get help and been a voice of support.

I’m probably biased, because for a large part of my life I’ve battled the kinds of loneliness and isolation felt by, and expressed through Michelle and Conrad, but I’m rather interested to see where this series goes, because I think it could have some important things to say.  I don’t condone what Michelle did, but I

If one watches the HBO doc, it’s clear this story is way more complex than most people think it is.  Conrad Roy was not some innocent stooge who did whatever she told him to do. It was actually quite the opposite. And he had suicidal tendencies for years before meeting Michelle. His parents just didn’t want to admit

I watched most of the true crime media around this case, because I just found it so baffling, and you can really see the journey Lynn Roy took. In the Dateline episode she’s still in full “lock that bitch UNDER the jail” mode, but by the time they made the HBO series she seems more resigned and sad. At one point she

Nah, I don’t buy this conspiracy theory shit. None of what I see in the video comes off as performance, and anyway why would they plan that of all things? How is it going to improve the viewership of a show already in progress? Smith and Rock somehow have a stake in how many people watch the Oscars? Smith would use

She must pay for her Grimes

I’ll admit to kind of missing Hipster Runoff.

AV Club doesn't owe shit to Gawker. Learn some history before you get all self-righteousness.

Despite everything, I think Grimes is still a really intriguing artist, and I always fucking hated Hipster Runoff. But sometimes I wish she’d just be, like...45% less Grimes.

Raikes gets run over by a train.

Fake French chef coming to the rescue scene was obviously severely cut in the editing process. Boo!

I don't know what about standing on a cold beach frowning at a woman who is also frowning doesn't just ooze charisma for you.

Sheesh, Matt Smith is — as my late grandmother would say — a big-faced man.
