The shot of that dollhouse floor will haunt me for a long time to come.

Holy hell. That might actually be the bleakest thing that HBO has ever produced. Shit, it might be the bleakest thing I’ve ever seen, period. I actually have a stomach ache. Like, a real, physical stomach ache. I expect that it will be with me for some time. This is going to win a lot of awards. It should. “Haunting”

And still I can’t stress enough how impressed I am with the musical curation on the show and Valle’s use of it. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a movie or show use so many different styles of music, and so much of it, and yet made it seem so smooth and stylistically cohesive... and always to add texture and spice rather

Loved it. Amma was actually my no. 1 suspect throughout most of the season, but by the last two episodes they got me to forget about her... but then that supposed post-resolution epilogue kept getting longer and longer... and the camera lingers an extra second on Amma as she goes to bed...

I’m thinking back to the Calhoun Day episode where Amma was cast as part of the town’s founding, her rape being the fucked up catalyst and now honor celebrated each year. An emblem of how the town treats its women and girls. To regain any sort of power, to play not the victim but the predator, Amma kills other girls.

“She took advantage of him.” Clearly you did not watch the scene. Or just have an agenda.

Why are you assuming Amma isn’t taking the medicine? She’s got increasingly fevered as the ep/medicinal poisoning went on and by the end began to upchuck. It’s not really like she can hold it under her tongue and spit it out later.

“A betrayal of Richard”. What? They slept together once. And he wasn’t honest with her either; he treated her like a bug under a microscope. I understand his reaction upon seeing Camille in bed with John, but she didn’t betray him. There was nothing to betray.

There are subtle flourishes of acting in that scene that are hard to put into words — little things irrate people do when they’re trying to keep their cool and failing, repeatedly. It was dense with acting chops. Super impressive from Seehorn.

Jimmy had a lot of life before he got a law degree and tried to go straight.  I’m assuming the ex-wives were from the Slippin’ Jimmy years.

Kim’s outburst at Howard was perfect - to the point that I felt a little sorry for Howard, at the end there where he said “what can I do to make it right?”... You just KNOW he’s willing to write a personal check, or even give Jimmy a job, SOMEthing... and when she tells him, witheringly, that there’s nothing he can

Rhea Seehorn is so incredible on this show. Very few could nail that intense scene so flawlessly.

This is the genius of the BB Universe. You could probably do a series based on Badger and Skinny Pete and with the acting and writing talent, it’d be one of the best things on TV. Hell, even a prequal about Spooge and his Skank wife could be interesting.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, it’s always a surprise when a really quiet character explodes.

Chuck was horrible to jimmy, he got his own brother suspended and just barely avoided jail. Kim knows very well why jimmy doesn’t care, that is why she feels so protective of him, she feels really sorry for him. In her eyes, jimmy cared for chuck for years, put up with all his insanity, and all chuck did was

I love Kim.

“That machine was almost too good,” one of the Neff managers tells Jimmy about a copier he fondly remembers. “Counterfeiters used it to make color copies of $5 bills.” Bet Jimmy’s filing that idea away for later.

Really? This country is law and order crazy and Walt masterminded one of the biggest criminal conspiracies of all time. Law Enforcement would find a way to go after Saul/Jimmy

I’m so hoping that Gus’ comment about the inevitable drug war getting the attention of the DEA means that Hank (and Gomez!) are going to make an appearance soon. By the time Hank gets shot in BrBa, Gus is well established as a supporter of the DEA and other organizations - he’s got to be starting to make those

The tension in that cold opening was THICK. It was a work of art in itself.
