One of the things the ‘other’ football does is allow the ref to ‘play the advantage’ which lets he or she acknowledge that a foul or normal play stoppage has occurred but play won’t be stopped until he/she determines the stoppage won’t penalize a team that had the advantage when the foul occurred.
