Don’t forget that GM was the first auto manufacturer in the US to shut down the first time. As a result, they’re also (I believe) the only manufacturer in the US to not have a COVID related death. Say what you want about GM, but they responded well to everything, closing plants and sending office workers home weeks

There’s no “system trying to keep you behind the lead vehicle” with standard cruise control you stupid fuck. You can lanesplit at speed with standard cruise control on and it’s no more dangerous than lanesplitting without cruise control, as long as your hands are still on the handlebars.

Just like Bradley (the guy I was replying to), I said cruise control, not adaptive cruise control. Go fall down somewhere with your “dumb question” shit.

The original roadster wasn’t in the last 8 years as Schnac stated, and they didn’t even really build a car, it was just a modified Lotus. So I don’t count that, and as you stated, cybertruck and semi aren’t “to market” in any sort of measurable capacity, same as the roadster reboot.

I think that was sarcasm? Either way, I got a chuckle lol

Except they didn’t have a stockpile of cars ready to sell when people were ordering online. Every other brand did, and many of them added online ordering, which is a lot easier to do than it is to somehow fulfill orders when nobody was working. I would say that makes them the least prepared. Now that they’re going

Whoa whoa whoa. Name the 7 unique and revolutionary autos they brought to market

you seem to be doubling down on your dumb “a lot” lately

I use cruise control, but it’s just so I can ease off of my throttle wrist. My hand is still on the grip, just not twisted. Why is this any more dangerous than lanesplitting without CC?

whole lot of people here that can’t read, otherwise they would have known that’s not a radiator, and known that there’s a steel mesh grille. Comment sections typically have some quality content going on. This one was a dumpster fire with 50 different people making a comment about the “radiator” being exposed.

Again, I repeat: What the fuck are you talking about? There’s a steel mesh grille in front of the intercooler protecting the entire cooling system. I don’t even understand how you could possibly puncture this intercooler from any side other than the front side. On top of that, even if it was punctured from the back

It’s not an unprotected radiator though. That’s an air-to-air intercooler for the turbo. If that were to get punctured, the truck would still run, but with reduced power. Good thing there’s a steel mesh grille in front of it though.

How much do you think those “few stamps” cost to build and validate? And you think they’re bending, assembling, and welding those cages by hand? Those are robotic as well. Sure, YOU could assemble each one of those yourself, but you wouldn’t be paying labor to yourself. What about seats and harnesses? What about those

Man, you’re in for a shock when you see how much crew cab pickup trucks from other brands cost. The Gladiator is priced $5-10k more than equivalent midsize trucks, but you can definitely make a Colorado cost $50k

Erik Shilling is picking on a guy for buying a truck. Color me shocked. Funny talk from a guy that solicited the help of strangers in the Autozone parking lot to change his wiper blades.

You mean this isn’t quality content???

that’s growth

What the fuck are you talking about? You said “not a whole lot of protection for that radiator.” I’m just telling you that you’re wrong and that it is specifically noted in the article that you didn’t read.

even just midcycle refresh development prototypes of cars already in production regularly cost over a million dollars. It’s because all the parts at that point are built off of non production tooling and the amount of time that goes into it drives cost. This is nothing noteworthy

I want to know why I’m still in the greys after years of commenting, and we’ve got people not in the greys that say shit like “lOoK aT tHe ExPoSeD rAdIaToR!!!” Clearly they can’t read the article that says “mesh grille” or “air-to-air intercooler”.
