This is the kind of weird and wonderful stuff that Jalopnik does best.

The Teslas it’s slower to 60mph than or the ones it has less range than??
Calling this thing a “turbo” is the most stupid naming exercise in the history of automobiles. It is pretty though.
Good! A Lamborghini that looks like a Lamborghini. This is just my opinion, but the Gallardo and Huracan are both far too boring-looking to pique my interest. They’re no more interesting than an R8, possibly even less so. This car looks extreme, which is exactly how a Lamborghini should look.
“No interior?”The took out a seat and added a rollcage. “New bodywork” ? The spoiler and exhaust were changed. “Not a production car”? They basically flashed it to Centodieci-spec. Arguably the most radical change to the car were the tires.
While 300+mph is awesome, for 75% of the world the holy grain-type milestone is 500km/h. It’s hard to believe that they are “quitting” less then 10km/h away from that mark.
I’m not talking about sales figures here—I’m talking about functions, which are what I assume BMW’s M-boss was talking about when he says, “This is what SUVs are for.” Ask any wagon fan, and they’ll tell you point-blank, “hell no, it isn’t.”
Ugh, those crossovers also don’t have the lower center of gravity you get in a wagon, either. The whole appeal of a wagon is having extra space in a vehicle that isn’t as top-heavy or unwieldy to drive as a taller truck or crossover.
Audi too - the hottest Audis have generally been wagons.
Disagree. All the space of a crossover with the ride-height, silhouette, and dynamics of a sedan/coupe.
I’m officially an old and a BMW fan. Had some of their obscure cars (Z3 coupe and Z4MCoupe) and a 2002 in high school. But if they are only now breaking your heart, you have the tolerance and patience of a Saint. They lost my gaze years ago.
I find it fascinating that BMW must occupy every single micro-niche CUV / SUV / SAC segment that Mercedes is in but when it comes to hot wagons - which Mercedes most definitely has covered with E63 AMG - BMW is like nah, we’re out. How many X4 Ms did BMW sell last year? Has anyone actually seen one of these…
This is actually a brilliant move. Insurers pay retail price for repairs, and the pass through retail cost of parts to fix a car (or a negotiated rate which is less than retail, but still much above cost). If the car is totaled, they pay the full market value in cash.
Not wanting to forever wipe your memory of joyful images, but I suggest you binge-watch plenty of kitten videos on YouTube after glancing at this picture, sorry...
Those wheels are just no. This car came with perfect stock wheels, and they never should have been taken off. Throwing stars forever.
I have so many questions.
A base model ‘20 Supra costs $50K. A base model ‘20 Corvette is supposed to cost $60K. Assume in both cases you’re not getting sodomized with dealer markups. The Supra has a 6-banger and some of the weirdest, lumpiest 21st-century-Karmann-Ghia styling* available today while the Vette has a proper V8 with its gobs of…
