No offense, but I hope you’re wrong. I’m obviously going to vote for whoever the Democrat is, but I would not be psyched to have to vote for Cuomo. Idk whats going to work in 2020, but I feel like after 4 years of Trump, Democrats won’t want to continue to be governed by an asshole. But who knows

I missed this- what did he say about Venezuela? The only thing I can find is DeSantis saying Gillum would turn Florida into Venezuela, which, lol.

and California has legal weed and taco trucks on every corner!

I think there is a non-zero chance that DeSantis is a nightmare in office—even among some people that voted for him—and it works against the GOP in 2020.

I think its funny that her sign says “Pray to End Abortion” when their anti-choice stand is rooted in evangelical nonsense. Like, clearly God is on board with abortion if you have to pray for her to end it. What happened to the divine plan? I think God wants them to leave women the fuck alone and stop trying to

Yeah, I’ve done this when buying movie passes at Costco. Those are kept in the back and I’d totally spaced on picking them up, and the receipt-checker asked if I’d gotten them and I hadn’t. It doesn’t add too much time for them to check, and I’d much rather have them catch it when I’m still at the store than having to

it will be glorious

Add in the contracts with corporations for prison labor where inmates are paid pennies on the dollar, and its essentially a throwback to slavery. Keeping a huge segment of the population (that is disproportionately black and brown people) disenfranchised and working for free in order to enrich wealthy white people.

I also don’t get how interpreting the jurisdiction clause of the 14th amendment to be political jurisdiction/allegiance instead of legal jurisdiction helps their case. We’re talking about newborns, pretty sure they aren’t politically allied to any country at that point. And obviously you are subject to American laws

Essentially, yes. They want to go back to a time where a black man could never be elected President.

Holy shit, they’re incapable of making anything about anyone other than themselves and empathy in general. The entitlement is just out of this world.

The idea that they want a meritocracy/pure competition is complete bullshit too. The reason they are doing everything possible to protect the social hierarchy with white, rich, straight men at the top and enable the rich to hoard their wealth is precisely because they know they couldn’t compete in a true meritocracy.

I know the NY Times article is more anecdotal rather than a broad trend, and a small number, but there are some white religious suburban white women backing at least one Democrat this cycle. I don’t think there are enough to be the game changer the media has made them out to be, but I do think some exist. I’ll take

I just read up on him and holy shit, how has he gotten off with mostly fines for nearly two decades worth of drug possession and driving while intoxicated charges? Is he related to someone important that can intervene and keep him out of trouble? Or would anyone else receive the same slap on the wrist?

They asked the woman upthread whose husband took a pic of it a year ago if they could use it lol they clearly know it’s not some plant

I think the left one is Janet Yellen but not 100% sure

I don’t know. I work for a nonprofit that does some small FB ad runs, and one of our sites has nonpartisan voter information on the statewide ballot measures, so we have to mark the ads as “political” content. I had to upload my personal ID, get mailed something at my house address (no business addresses) with a code
