You have just described several orders of magnitude more thought process than deer are capable of. 

I had a deer attack my stopped vehicle as well. I saw deer coming out of the woods, steered between two of them as I stopped, and the one I stopped in front of stared at my car for a moment, then head-butted my driver’s side back door, turned around and went back the way he came.

If only there had been something interesting about these apart from the body.  ND.
