I have been seeing Yamazaki and Hibiki here in states now every once in a while. I want to say prices have run from $80 to $180 (just guessing I think I spent around $120). Its a bit pricy for everyday drinking but definitely on my special occasion list of gift/celebratory purchases.

Bought the Yamazaki for my friends as a bachelor party gift. What a revelation. I they are under the Suntory brand though.

I have seen CC plenty of times. I think I may have even seen Pendleton. I think it depends where you are looking. I am in central NJ we have pretty decent liquor stores.

In fairness it took me a few years too overcome my inner college kid who drank to much Jack and used to grimace at all whiskey.

I have just been recently expanding my whiskey drinking outside of scotch. Any good recommendations for Canadian whiskey?

I am curious about this too, there is nothing I can think of that would disqualify Bulleit from being Kentucky Bourbon.

I have thankfully been able to avoid that for those most part. Fortunately where I am I have had the final say in hiring or at least veto power.

Holy crap where are you apartment hunting?

This happens a lot. Many companies I have worked for required me to post jobs and accept public candidates when I had a deserving internal I wanted promote. Sadly I have forwarded candidates up I knew were not as good as my guy because I wanted him or her to get the promotion. It is not fair to the outside

This happens a lot. Many companies I have worked for required me to post jobs and accept public candidates when I had a deserving internal I wanted promote. It is not always a friend, just sometimes that you must because of company HR rules post positions and accept interviews instead of just hiring the guy you know

This is my standard philosophy when it comes to employment. If after three years my pay hasn't increased more than ten percent and there are no promotions or job opportunities on the horizon I am looking aggressively. This may take a year and that is fine but I will diligently look until I find something better.

made me laugh, been a while since I heard gear used that way.

Tilt-A-Whirl is my jam.

There is a saying I once heard, "If you fall down and end up with your dick in the dirt don't get up and try and wipe it off one somebody else."

Sounds like horror has pretty low standards these days.

Bring back the Bartolo-Colon-o-meter. Please....

I don't know man he got all of the ball. He also got there before Rooney did, so I am not sure this is a yellow sans dive. I think it is definitely border line, usually the sort of thing they don't card in the box because it gives out a pk, but in the field where its just a possession change it would get called. Also

Damn it I was so close...
