I have an unusual name, but to my parents’ credit, it is a family name, and one I share with several far-flung cousins. It wasn’t made up out of whole cloth, and I am named after a much-beloved family member.

I’m really not sure about that. The prosecution and the judge are leaning towards omitting any mention of Castile’s permit to carry. (Apparently not mentioning you smoke may be grounds for nullifying the permit? I feel like that is something you would NEVER hear about if Castile had been white.)
