I’m in awe of how these folks just stand there and allow themselves to be verbally abused in this manner. Granted, the rent is high and the bail may be for assault, but my God. This is not so much a co-sign of violence than confusion over how people could just stand there and be berated (or have something thrown at

In less-cool mayoral news:

Francis is a Jesuit. Jesuits are crafty and intelligent mofos - that’s one of the reasons they are frequently referred to as “God’s Marines.” If a Pope was gonna throw shade, I would actually think it would be him.

*swoon*

I’ve never had sugar on grits, but I think for breakfast it’s fine - it’s like sugar or syrup on oatmeal or your Cheerios. (ETA - not that oatmeal or Cheerios are like grits - it’s more that you’re having some sort of inherently bland grain for breakfast and a little bit of sugar helps it go down, especially for kids.)

She created enough shock-clicks early on to get a name for herself, and parlayed that into being the second link in the Glenn Beck Human Centipede Hour.

We had flexible hours at one of my favorite jobs. I used to come in at 7 am because it was quiet and I could get stuff done, as most of my department came in around 10 or 11 am. And I left at 3. Because I put in my 8 hours. There were crunch times where I had to put in extra hours, but day-to-day - fuck that shit,

My Dad’s new wife is very much like this. I used to think she was fairly benign, but the more I get to know her, the more I’ve realized she’s toxic as fuck.

This is apparently protocol for women who have an audience with the Pope. Michelle Obama did the same in 2009. (Of course, Queen Elizabeth II is all, “eh, screw you.”)

Oh, don’t get me started on the debate schedule.

Here it is:

I can’t find it now, but I remember some scuttlebutt from the early parts of the 2016 campaign where that was part of it. I think it was during that phase when he was still publicly mulling it, but Hillary was polling much better.

I think Joe Biden does have a little right to be the tiniest bit bitter. Generally speaking, if the VP wants to run for President, usually he is given serious consideration by the party. DNC basically said, “Nope - we want Hillary, sorry dude.” It’s the protocol, and it’s not like he was an unpopular, figure.

There’s also the thing where if you are busty, it is hard to dress professionally for that. Even as a grown woman with a clothing budget. It takes time, effort, and money to assemble a professional wardrobe that fits a busty figure.

Personally, I’m impressed with the restraint of the man doing the slapping.

Richard Spencer helped advocate situations that lead toheinous, horrifying, and tragic shit like this:

I moved away from there several years ago. We literally were doing a happy dance in the car on the way out of town.

Speaking as someone who used to live in Eau Claire?....no.
