Rapper Ta'Quil made headlines today, but not the good kind like you want

It's the City Of Tomorrow.  We don't get it yet.

I don’t think it needs to be fully unrecognizable. But it certainly needs to be much closer to that than to, say, Weezer’s “cover” of Africa.

Yeah.  Cabin Fever is intermittently funny, but Evil Dead 2 it ain't.

Yes, think of all the domestic violence Death Proof has caused by normalizing violence against women by means of camp fictional cinema.

High on my list of amusing things Eli Roth did.  Which.. isn't saying a ton.

I would play Civ 2 and Civ 3 literally until 11am the next day sometimes.   Without batting an eye.  I can still hear Civ 2's advisors and their CD-ROM quips and phrases ever so clearly, but I really feel that 3 was the peak of the series.  4 really burned my ass with its lack of being able to micromanage things.

There hasn't been any point to Weezer since Pinkerton at best, and now that Ric Ocasek is dead, it's somehow even more so that way.

I’d say their most well-known song is still Down With The Sickness. FWIW. But you’re still on point. Alien Ant Farm, Orgy, Drowning Pool covering Sesame Street, all lousy bands. Ugh, Counting Crows trying to stay relevant with a fucking lousy cover of a lousy Joni Mitchell song.. Some lousy band just covered Zombie,

The more insane Kurt sounded, the more I loved it personally.

If there’s a more brutal cinematic gut-punch than Dancer In The Dark, please don’t tell me about it. I may end up having to watch it.

I see what you did there, but in all fairness you wouldn't lose any level of vocal ability.

Heh. “Well, I’m probably gonna get sued for this, but.. If Harvey Weinstein invites you to a party at The Palms.. don’t go. “ That’s a pretty thin veil.

I used to dislike them for giving birth to Linkin Park. But abominations are often inevitable.

Tori borrows a little from Kate Bush.  And does it way better than Sarah McLaughlan did. And also was just super prolific, especially compared to Kate Bush.  Boys For Pele is 70 odd minutes, 18 songs, most of which are fucking really good.

ONNN WEEEEED?

The Beatles of the 90s/2000s.

Calling A&R “Antagonistic and Redundant”. Bill Withers stood up for artistic integrity and quarreled with the music industry right from the start and up until he walked out before he should have had to.

One of the most underappreciated tracks I know of in a canon of ANY artist.
