Well yeah, I guess. But there is some direct sequels like the DS games Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks which are direct sequels to Wind Waker featuring the same Link and side characters. Also Majora’s Mask since it’s the same Link as Ocarina of Time.

except you can’t get out of your ship. Only some specific “hub” where you can walk around to shop but the whole game is in your ship fighting others. No boarding ship and fight, no on foot exploration.

it’s a yes and no answer. The game story can be played with pretty much any characters. It’s one of the few gacha game that even their low level (4 star) character are still good in most solo content.

Where it is not F2P friendly is in the gacha pull % where you need to invest a lot of currency to get the character…
