There are not scarier special effects today.

...yes?

I’ll just say that I actually don’t feel it really matters whether it refers to one or both genders at this point. I think it is a really gross way to turn someone into a thing that you either marry, fuck or murder. There’s nothing human in there, and even if you intend to be joking, I have found it really reinforces

Good call. I feel like she and Mantis might overlap too much conceptually in the movieverse (like I think Vision and Warlock do) to show up, though.

I’m trying to remember, but I think I may have been too utterly blasted by the fact of her being destroyed utterly, body and soul and beyond any salvation, to manage anything other than slack-jawed trauma.

That episode is truly masterful storytelling by everyone involved.

That’s a nice analysis. I only very recently checked out Clone Wars. Frankly it was Jason Aaron’s Star Wars comic and the Darth Vader comic that got me to take another look at Star Wars as a whole. CW filled in so much in such a great way that I always found to be unacceptably gaping narrative holes in the prequels,

Yeah, I think they were a great addition to Thanos’ character. I feel like everything Hickman touched at Marvel he turned to diamond. The way the Order took out the various members of the Illuminati was great, and the way Namor used them in return against Wakanda was chilling.

Ah, that would make total sense. How did I not see that?

The Black Order was not around before that. I was just trying to figure out if there are other Marvel characters like Nebula who predate that story who might fit.

You have my vote.

I feel like you answered it with the Black Order. Glaive and Proxima, most likely and then one of the others. Maybe Black Dwarf given his visual impact. Nebula’s no longer on his team, so I’m not sure who else pre-Hickman continuity would be likely. Death as a character wouldn’t make any sense. Somebody who evolves

Ok, so why don’t you explain to me what’s funny about that joke? Maybe you’re right. Point out the humor.

Yes, exactly. I haven’t really liked Rebels very much, unlike Clone Wars, but I thought his development when he’s appeared was pretty decent, and fit with how truly tortured he seemed in CW. Man, I hope this showdown is written well.

For all practical purposes I think I’ve watched Angel as a series twice, though I rewatched so many episodes while the show was still airing. And the second time I ran through it was within a couple years of it ending. I’ve considered giving it another go, even though I feel like I have limited time for tv shows given

!!!

I get you. It may be used by both genders these days with more prevalence for all I know, but for a very long time it was a “joke” told by men about women that made me uncomfortable even years ago when I was even less aware than I am now. I appreciate your response. I think it’s the kind of thing that could hold you

She was literally the only thing in that entire movie that brought life to it for me. And I love Jeremy Irons even when he’s in shit. I guess usually when he’s in shit, because I did not love him in BvS. And it may turn out I loved Gal’s WW so much just because of the contrast to the rest of the film. Could be. We’ll

I shit all over DC tv and film projects with reckless abandon on a regular basis. I feel like I do it when and because it’s earned, but still.

Yeah, I’m sorry too. I wish I could keep from getting so angry and depressed these days.
