One of my favorite comics of all time. If that’s all Jason Aaron was ever known for it would be enough, but thankfully that’s not the case. And Guera’s work was genius.

I actually came down here to say without a hint of sarcasm that is one of the best headlines I’ve read on io9 in a long time. Accurate and entertaining.

He is clearly NOT jumping on the Criticism of Quality train.

Yeah, one of the biggest of the ten-million problems with that film is that Clark Kent doesn’t even qualify as an afterthought. Ludicrously bad writing. Indefensibly horrible Superman story. What a waste of time, resources and effort.

Saw an interview with one of the BVS team (honestly can’t remember who, had stopped caring at that point) and the reason was that Clark urging Bats to “save Martha” was Clark’s journalistic cunning coming through - with no defence left he dropped the M bomb knowing it was an emotional trigger for Bats.

Don’t we all. ;)

I think the current evil-Cap storyline has been great. Well thought-out, well-written. I see no reason not be cautiously optimistic.

Now I every time I think about a new Jedi order, I will be picturing Hulk Hogan sitting at the head of the Jedi Council with a dyed beard while a wolf howls in the background. Why don’t the Jedi have intro music and pyros?

Didn’t he play Veronica Mars on Party Down?

Ha! I’m in full agreement. Did you know that Stan Lee did the final rewrite for Caligula?

Fair points. It’s not that I think of him as some kind of craft master, it’s more that I appreciate (not strong enough a word) his will to make movies he wants to make and his effort to follow through doing whatever he can with whatever resources he can. And though they may be riddled with flaws (a very loaded and

Batman Beyond, for sure. Let regular Batman rest.

Excellent God-damned point.

Ah, much obliged. I was too lazy to do my own research.

Wait... what? I realize I could look this up, but wow. I had no idea.

That makes sense. I pretty much love the stuff Jonathan Nolan does completely. Well, PoI, WW and the middle Batman film. But damn do I love them.

Aside from the main character not always knowing what’s reality, it’s not even remotely Mr. Robot. You just read that on another thread and are parroting it as if it was an original idea instead of simply an ignorant one. Same for the Wes Anderson crack. Visually speaking Wes Anderson overloads the frame with details

It’s Albert Einstein’s origin story, although I wish we could mention him once without having to dredge it back up again. Yes, we understand, creating spacetime by defining spacetime allowed the infinite mass of Donald Trump’s insecurity to create a big enough depression in child-Al’s future that the Einstein parents’

I tried that once. Just once.

Yeah, I have the exact opposite reaction. Of all the televised superhero properties (worded like that to avoid judging all kinds of other shows that are thematically similar but that I haven’t seen) out there on tv today, this is the only one that I think does anything special. That special is the quality and logic
