Looks like we’ve found the winner for 2016's “Upper-Class Twit of the Year” in ol’ Nigel.

Their relationship is gross and really unsettling. And I mean a Lot!
I think the term “sleep training” makes it sound overly extreme and/or weird (even I was like, ‘what is that?’ the first time I heard it) because really it’s just... getting your kid to sleep all night in their own bed.
I’m a black female PhD chemist. I’m in a position where I have to train new grad students, some undergrads and postdocs. A lot of them are surprised that I’m the one leading their training. They have this “oh, you’re the scientist” moment when I am introduced to them. This happens usually with the guys. Then I have to…
Oh it’s true wherever I’ve worked. I’m retired now, but I worked as a nurse, a field dominated by women. Yet male nurses were constantly promoted over women, even when they were grossly bad at the job.
A-fucking-men!
If you read farther down, it says “ The Mercury News notes that, according to Yahoo’s diversity reports, the percentage of women in leadership positions rose 23 to 24 percent between 2014 and 2015.” So somebody’s data is wrong. It could be that Yahoo was covering up a massive swing in which way the imbalance went,…
I’m really conflicted about this. I think mandatory sentences are generally a terrible idea. I also think judges are going to continue to treat sexual assault as a harmless little non-crime in which the perpetrators are the true victims as long as they’re legally allowed to do so. I’m honestly not sure which is the…
I love how you guys will accept a movie about magical ghost children without complaint or objection, but the second someone drops a black kid in there you’re suddenly the guardians of historical accuracy, all grabbing your history books and going UM EXCUSE ME BUT THE EXACT NUMBER OF BLACK PEOPLE IN ENGLAND IN 1940 WAS
Please explain to me how that would be “forcing it in”? No one is asking for a 3rd of the movie to be devoted to explaining how and why a POC ended up among all the white folks. Just that they’re there. It changes nothing so long as the writing remains consistant with the character.
“People of color” isn’t insulting for all of us minorities actually...though I respect the right for it to be that way for some.
It’s a made up story/movie about children with superpowers who live on an island in a time loop, managed by a woman who turns into a bird and the thing you find unbelievable is that people of color existed in the UK in the 40's?! Oooooookay.....
I think her work as an Ambassador and Humanitarian qualify her to speak about her experience and what she believes can be done to further the agenda on women’s and refugee issues.
I’m so glad Oliver is calling out the false-equivalency narrative that’s been plaguing this election.
so thats what a seventh degree burn looks like...
I’m just glad she learned this lesson for a disease like rotavirus instead of something more dangerous or more likely to have long term effects!
As someone with a dog and kids, I think it is great that there is much more awareness of how dangerous it could be, because honestly I don’t think it would be obvious to me how much of a potential issue it is. On the other hand, it is really frustrating that I can’t leave my 6-year-old in a locked car for 3 minutes…
Former veterinary nurse here. I obviously know about dogs overheating in cars, but I question this. You can’t just smash the window, you also have to get the dog out of there and cooled down. I’ve seen really experienced animal nurses be mauled to hell when trying to help a distressed animal. Breaking the window in a…
That poor woman.
