I just want to get in here before the flood of “why aren’t you supervising your children” comments to say, preemptively, fuck off.

I just got back in from a dog walk during which I had to stop repeatedly to pick burrs out of my pooch’s hair. Why would anyone spend money on plastic burrs? WHY MARK?
They’re targeted ONLY at abortion clinics. Similar measures aren’t required for other outpatient clinics taht do invasive procedures. It’s total bullshit trying to do an end run and Roe.
True, yet if some were already at the scene (wasn’t it right outside a station as well?), it likely probably shouldn’t have even taken five.
It isn’t the job of media to be convenient to those they report about.
For any woman doing this calculator and freaking out at their results:
And a great Texas organization that helps women fund abortions: https://www.lilithfund.org
And again, if you want to help keep abortion safe and legal in Texas:
Not to mention that it suggests that parents who choose to go back to work at or even before 3 months (even when more leave is available) are deliberately playing Russian Roulette with their kid’s life.
This article is ridiculous. I am all for paid family leave, but the idea that this baby died because his parents had to go back to work is resorting to the worst sort of fear mongering. Many parents choose to go back to work because they want to. Would this mother still have the same reaction if she wanted to be at…
Yeah... the headline is a bit trolltastic. It implies the death was caused by leaving the child at daycare and we just don’t know that at the moment.
This is tragic of course but I really hate the whole “You’re leaving your baby with STRANGERS!!!” Um... no my husband and I actually visited the daycare, met the caregivers and did our research on whether or not the facility was licensed/the policies they follow. My daughter is now 2. She loves her caregivers. They…
No, his first response mentioned no makeup exam, and in fact, the email that mentions that is to the Washington Post, not the students.
The big public resignation was melodramatic. I like to believe the university replied with “Sit down, Atticus, this is not your moment.”
Yes because if they successfully shoot up a school and kill a bunch of people, then we have clearly won.
.....We aren’t talking about bullies, we are talking about people who claim to have guns killing all the black students on campus. That’s not about “letting anyone win”, it’s about not wanting to die, you dip. Don’t be fucking obtuse.
This all just goes back to the underlying problem at this institution. He doesn’t seem to have done anything wrong per se by applying pretty standard rules, but man oh man could the employees at this school really use a training on how to actually listen to people and think outside the conventional approach to avoid…
It’s pretty dispiriting that the broader medical community isn’t standing up to this basically unprecedented level of legislative interference with the doctor/patient relationship and professional self-regulation. They should be all over this on principle, but lady parts are different.
If anyone gives you their 2 cents, just toss it back at them. They're overstepping boundaries. No need to freak out about it, just call them out and embarrass the shit out of them. Tell them to mind their own business right to their face.
