I know people get grumbly about destination weddings, but they really are great for keeping flakes out. Good luck!

My aunt tried to do this, too. Herself, and 8 friends. None of whom I had ever me. Luckily, the wedding was 1300 miles from her home and they decided well in advance that they couldn't afford to come.
Maybe white people see a different version of this article, because I didn't see the author tell white people to STFU anywhere.
Not sure why I'm replying to this, but sure:
YES. Sometimes expressing empathy means lifting the voices of the silenced. Sometimes expressing solidarity is best done by boosting the signals society seems fit to ignore. Each to their abilities and resources - and this commenter has the resource of priviliege. Being asked to use it thoughtfully is not being told…
Huh, I can see that.
Because "8 times" = 800%, and 800% less likely? What does that even mean.
I'm going to chalk your bizarre posting up to end-of-the-semester stress. Get off the internet and get some sleep.
I understood what the other poster was saying. The OP's argument was 'tell people to have kids less early', which is a really dramatic oversimplification. Not everyone who has a kid intended to, not everyone who has a kid is 19. The other poster replied to the OP's oversimplification with one of their own. I thought…
Dear god.
I'm not being very diplomatic with some of the things I'm saying. And, that does disrespect some of the fantastic people in those fields
Are you sure you didn't grow a monster in your arm? Check the site for signs of eruption.
Right? Pardon me while my eyes roll out of my fuckin' head.
The worst part is, since I wrangle admin more often, is that the money to support student parents is often there. Admins just find fit to give that money to football and more admins.
Double post: ignore me.
'Pretty much ineffective' is pretty strong language. If you got the vaccine, you're 8 times less likely to become ill with full-blown pertussis, and that's not negligable by any means. But, like with any highly communicable disease, the best thing for the baby is for everyone who will be in contact with the baby to be…
My husband has had some serious health problems, and can't get a booster this year. I straight tell people that we can't have unvaccinated kids in our house, and ask before bringing my kids to theirs. I don't think you need to worry about tact when someone might kill your family.
The original story is pretty confusingly laid out. But pertussis vaccines were once thought to be a life-long immunity; they're not. They're most effective within two years after the booster.
Anyone who starred his comment should just get a divorce. Their poor spouses don't deserve to be stuck with them. Let me give you some real advice. From a man. Not some idiot woman. Jesus.
Once a wife sees her husband as another needy child, the sexual attraction will never come back and what is the point of staying married then?
