I don’t know when that image was made but I don’t think it is up to date. I watched all the Dems vote “No” on Sessions earlier today and all Dems voted “No” on Devos yesterday.

I don’t think the idea is that there’s any good will to be gained, but that if they obstruct then it’ll hasten the speed with which the Republicans either change the rules (getting rid of the filibuster, etc.) or ignore them all together, which will allow the Republicans to push through even more terrible legislation…

I can’t really be mad at the three no vote people, given that Mattis is a person one might expect any randomly selected conservative to reasonably nominate for secretary of defense.

Unions have a difficult and fine line to walk to here. On the one hand, Trump’s protectionism is exactly what they’ve been asking for years. On the other hand, Republicans have been trying to get rid of them for decades.
