I like Bodak Yellow quite a bit, but I’m not feeling the rest of her work. She’s a compelling media personality, though.

I think it’s weird because they were pretty close to getting away with it. There was the Oliver piece a year or so ago, but it didn’t make national news. This video from Deadspin is everywhere, and now viewers are pissed and the local station employees can now voice their anger.

Am I the only person here that would definitely watch a documentary on the Tomato Troll?

Googles: “Christine McCarthy” tomato

And furthermore, I want the young journalists to know out there that, hey, look at who you’re applying for when it comes to jobs. And do your research,” said Beaton, who was sued by Sinclair for thousands of dollars after he left the station before his contract expired.

When he’s doing bullshit like this, there isn’t anything you can do. That’s why he’s so good and also why he’s the fucking worst.

I hate it too. The only thing I can think of is for defenders to start fouling him hard when he does the flailing thing. If you are going to get called for a foul, might as well actually foul him.

Some of the calls Harden gets are absolutely infuriating, man. I get it, flailing like you get pounded on every call is beneficial and he games the system better than maybe anyone ever has. But it’s just so goddamn annoying and frustrating to watch him play.

I’ll have to check out that Flatbush Zombies track. They’ve always seemed like group I should like, but have never grabbed me.

Yeah, sucks for all the people requiring to live on the planet but dang fine entertainment. I do hope they dont end the series on a cliffhanger but that the viewers get to see him locked away as the credits roll.

I really, really hope that a competent writer (i.e. not Michael Wolff or his ilk) writes a really in-depth breakdown of this shitshow a couple of years after it ends—after enough time has passed that we can all enjoy the comedy aspect of it.

As a European (Finnish, to be specific) reading this entire thread has me staring at my screen open-mouthed in shock. Americans are fuckin’ wild.

This shit is so over the top, it’s vaguely amusing. Using sirens to beat DC traffic on his way to a fancy French restaurant? Or getting a sweetheart deal on a condo, and then not even paying the $50 a night? Lying (incredibly obviously) about the pay raises, and then getting caught in it the very next day? All of this

I’d play my ass off for Coach Skinner.

I’ve reported at least three of his accounts over the years. I find this deeply hilarious. The neo-Nazi right is continually picking pointless fights with each other because they’re all stupid ego-driven children and I enjoy reading the whole mess while I flag both sides of whatever idiotic debate they’ve having at

When the author scuttles back to Brooklyn, is she aware that the land there is equally sacred, and that she’s using it without awareness of those who lived there before European contact? There isn’t any place in the Americas where this isn’t true, whether or not there are walking, talking reminders of that fact.

But they don’t come here for the people. They don’t really come here for the land. That’s something that really bothers me. They got off the plane, get in the rental car, drive around, consume, consume, consume, then they take off. And they don’t do anything to recognize the people who have lived here and who still

I was in Scottsdale for a conference and that is a perfect explanation for what it felt like (minus the desert hiking)

Scottsdale fascinates me. It is like part of New Jersey was uprooted and stuck in the desert. I totally agree about Old Town as well. It felt more like a wild west portion of a theme park, than an actual neighborhood.
