I see a lot of discounting making one from that distance, but that’s a massively long kick for an amateur, even a soccer player. NFL kickers use a totally different approach and form due to the oblong ball, she could likely gain another 10 yards on her kicks with some training. Be interesting to see...

I used to watch ~60-80 games per year on tv and go to 5-10 when I was in high school and early college, don’t watch any now (although easing back into following it).

Don’t even need the opium for the first 30 minutes after the injury. Back in my freshman year of college I broke my leg playing a pickup game of football and played another 45 minutes assuming it was just a sprain. Hurt like hell just walking for 3 months afterwards.

I’ve got Jalopnik, AVClub, Jezebel, Deadspin and Splinter down... need to add Gizmodo, Kotaku and the Root to complete the set.

Won’t fool me Bret, I know better than to go to a home with bedbugs, you won’t spread your infestation that easily!

I think the whole idea of this car is comfortable enough for a DD, and capable of being driven at 100% by a 50% driver without getting in trouble and letting any driver rip good lap times. Seems like they should be selling a lot more of them to people who are currently buying other $150k+ sports cars that aren’t

Doesn’t matter as long as the Republicans have power and the existing media apparatus. All they’ll be running on their state run media for the next week related to the environment is that the Obama’s bought a $15M mansion along the coast... ‘therefore global warming must be a hoax and Democrats are capitalist grifters

I don’t know anyone else who’s listened to 85 to Africa yet, other than my wife, but I think it’s brilliant and a far better record than I imagined he could make (and I was a fan). Wife enjoyed it too but she’s less musically inclined. Curious to hear what others think because I haven’t even seen a review yet at this

That’s an interesting dilemma. Fans would have understood better an earlier retirement, owners the opposite; in a sense Luck showed loyalty to the ‘team’ (owners, management & players) while to fans it’s viewed as disloyalty. In the end the only important thing is what Luck owes to himself, and I think he determined

Booing him is a dick move, but it does seem he could have maybe handled it better than retiring 2 weeks before the season. Imagine the flak Lebron James would receive if he did the same before this NBA season. I’d have been shocked if the fans hadn’t booed him, honestly...

Now playing

Oh, the hell with it. Let’s just say it. Bring back mud.

Definitely checking out the Missy EP!

Great band name -- will have to check them out.

With taxes you troll, like every other government program, saving Americans tens of thousands per family per year in private insurance payments.

Have you ever considered going back where you came from? Maybe you should — I’m sure they’d be happy to have you back at whatever European shithole your family fled in pursuit of opportunity, and you’ve clearly squandered whatever opportunity you had since you’re dead-set on blaming whatever problems you’re

Best of luck in your future.

Ugh I want to mock that pickup so bad but he’s actually been good in his preseason play so far. He’s well on his way to earning a backup slot, likely still below Glennon though. Still, this is the best the Raiders 2nd/3rd string QBs have looked in the preseason in a long time. Hopefully he never sets foot on the field

Fighting and filing lawsuits against the league is the Raider way... I’m not surprised Gruden / The Raiders had zero concern he’d retire over this and every interest in playing it up for preseason drama.

I think I just found a reason to attend a DC United game. Can't wait to get the ban hammer.

This league couldn’t be more about technicalities. First it was because the model was too old, then it was because the particular helmet was too old, then it was because it didn’t pass a safety test that the league apparently never uses on player helmets if they’re less than 10 years old.
