I’m a white Canadian and lately we’ve been doing a lot of soul searching about our relationship with our indigenous peoples, including how we refer to them in media. It’s become jarring for me to see the term “American Indian” used because we would never use the term “Indian” up here any more. Is “Native American” not

God forbid people critique things. They need to digest their megacorp created slop designed by committee without complaining.

In one episode, that character was more interesting than Fett has been so far and Mando has been in two whole seasons.

Considering The Mandalorian was already, “hey, just pretend it’s a show about Boba Fett!”, we really, really, REALLY don’t need a show about another Boba Fett.

Yes. Lucas is a Boomer. It doesn’t make any of this stuff good

Yes,  those were garbage as well...

I would love to see a show based on Oliphant's character fron Mando.

Not as uncomfortable as watching Boba pulled out of the Bacta tank:

Seriously, they could have had him be a, you know, bounty hunter, except that this time he’s aligned with the good guys (although he still hates Jedis), atoning for past crimes by rounding up Imperial war criminals and other bounty hunters who were aligned with the Empire. Traveling to all corners of the galaxy doing

I like how Disney is gradually rehabbing George Lucas’ reputation by taking some of his questionable design choices and executing them worse. Maybe that was his long game the whole time.

Thanks for posting this screenshot. The bikes look like absolute garbage from some cheesy SyFy show.

It’s not just a retread of the style, because Mando already did an episode or two on how the Sand People aren't actually bad and have their own culture and stuff.

I know it’s not “woke” to say this, but I don’t like Sand People, either. They’re coarse and rough and irritating, and they get everywhere.

All this time I thought they were two separate groups.

Hot take: They fucking deserved what Anakin gave them.

Maybe we just didn’t need two Star Wars shows about Armor Guys? Maybe one Armor Guy (and his baby) is enough?

I don’t know. Tuskins have lore as being very hostile to outsiders they come across. They are few in number and raid for subsistence. The first thing they do when they see him is attack him for his stuff. So I don’t think Luke was all that bad to think “Those guys are best left alone”.

You can tell the very first time he talks about them, by his emphasis on the word “sand.”

That chase was uncomfortable to watch because of how obviously slowly the vehicles were moving. The landspeeder didn’t even seem like it was going to clear the debris it was dislodging from precariously-placed overhangs.
