How is it that Tom or no one else (but Greg, apparently) knows how to talk to Logan yet, this far into the series? He always wants competition, someone to try to get on his level, he hates mealy-mouthed bullshit because he gets it all the time. The “where are your kids, Uncle Logan” was probably the most real sentence

A big reason that Tom betrayed Shiv was her constant, continuous reminders of their skewed emotional dynamic. I don’t think he was “playing her”. I DO think she served his personal ambitions and that was certainly something he took advantage of, but I also think he was hurt, repeatedly, by her casual disregard for his

My interpretation is that Tom never had any intention of betraying Shiv, until he realized she was telling the truth in the “I don’t love you” scene. I think it was a snap judgment and not a long con.

They should really call him First Cousin Once-Removed Greg.

What comes after 9? 9B?

loved how greg is such a coward he cant even ask his own girlfriend he shouldn’t have invited to the party to leave, even while referring to what the guy is gonna do as ‘guantanamo’

I would agree that the character of Shiv was retooled after the pilot, but I also feel the writers did the work to establish why the Shiv they settled on felt the need to marry a Tom. And it was brilliantly summed up with Logan’s line about “You’re marrying a man fathoms beneath you because you don’t want to risk

Shiv and Tom are tragic because he did love her for her, despite how fucked up she can behave. Tom has become just as desperate as the kids for Logan’s approval. It is sad, the moment Tom married into that family any chances for Shiv and Tom were over. He belongs to Logan now.

Is there a number lower than one?

I really enjoyed Shiv saying they could hear Kerry better without Logan’s cock in her mouth, Kerry claiming she couldn’t hear it, and then Roman repeating it matter-of-factly. His willingness to just stir shit for no particular reason is, oddly, one of his better qualities.

It’s referenced rather than actually thrown out as an insult, but Tom saying “he once called me the Cunt of Monte Cristo” about Logan  is tops on my list.

Logan telling Karl “If your hands are clean, it’s only because your whorehouse also does manicures.” was right there.

It’s less an insult than a brutal statement of fact, but I like it when, at Kendall’s party, he asks, “Who isn’t here?” to be met by his sibling saying, in turn, “Your dad”, “Your mom”, “Your wife and kids”.

“You suck at succession, Clarence! You’ll never win the Big Succession Derby! Not in THOSE shoes!” - Sandra

Tom is always the best because you can tell that he’s trying to be a macho alpha type like Logan but every word he says has to be processed through the haunted gay Hummel figurine that lives in his brain

Do you think that that’s like, a natural progression from ‘Never done nothin, never,’ to ‘Most Important Job in the World?’” Still slays me even if it’s not quite as tidy a burn as some of these others. All in the delivery.

Plus, British, so that’s like +10 burn quality right from the jump.

No shit. She’s the most caustic out of all of them.  Her disdain for anyone and everyone is palpable.

I think that if she were more prominent a character, you could make this list entirely out of Caroline quotes.

It was supposed to be choreographed. That was about as choreographed as a dog getting fucked on roller skates.” for the imagery alone
