I think it’s more akin to onanism, so perfect for Lokis.

I don’t care whether it fits the story. They should have called it A Quieter Place.
A Silent (but Deadly) Place
I’ve only watched the first episode so far, and I know that this is a point that nobody else is likely to care about, but on the topic of “subtle/heavy techniques”, there’s one thing I caught on to that I felt somebody had to point out, but that I’ve not seen anyone else mention here - sorry if I’ve missed it - and…
And it was really impressive that they had Patrick actually owned that he was partially responsible for it happening.
Nah, Roland was just a man with no social graces that turned out to be a sweet, loving man. Someone who never thought twice about mentioning Johnny was his best friend, and in The Pitch, when he told the douchey investors “That man’s a legend”, was one of the best moments in this season
What is up with all of the gasps and nose-holding over the happy ending massage? I swear between the BCS reviews and this one, this site has a serious problem with sex negativity.
Season 4 is my favourite season of the show:
So sad to see it go but excited to see what Dan Levy does next. The episodes he has written have been the benchmark for the series. This show has like Always Sunny been proof that comedy is best left to those that created it.
Catherine O’Hara’s talent is otherworldly. I love that she came up with the verbal mannerisms and Moira’s fashion sense & wigs & when she explained it all to Dan Levy when they were discussing the character before the show started, he was just in awe
Excellent point about Moira. I’m glad that she didn’t have an 11th hour change of heart about the town. She liked the people but the place was never going to be her ideal. Something tells me she might end up taking Jocelyn for a spa day in Hollywood sometime, though.
I believe you mean “pup talk.”
The hood scene is up there for me too. In some ways last week felt like more of a finale.
I think Roland started off so broad and ridiculous that maybe it was hard to reign him in? Like - Jocelyn was a bit dotty and perky and trashy but her core was always kindness and generosity. Roland started out brash and petulant and he mostly lost the petulance but never the brashness. But I did really appreciate…
Yeah, he even had the “they look a little like husband and wife” bit, which led to Johnny smiling like, “yeah, kind of.” Which I thought was a nice button to their relationship. Roland saying something ridiculous and Johnny being amused by it. I never liked Roland. I thought Chris Elliott deserved a better role, and…
Have to go with favorite moments:
I’ve always kind of wondered about Ellior’s contract on this - because he also never does any of the press. I do remember him doing press during the first season and he was kind of . . . Chris Elliot about it? So maybe they decided to keep him away from the press. Yet everyone on the show consistently says he’s the…
That episode is definitely what turned me into a fan. And then the episode where Moira and David make the ahhhnchiladas turned me from a fan into an obsessed one. Not to mention haunts me anytime I bake anything where I have to fold in egg whites or something like that. “You just fold it in!”
My favourite moment was actually in season 1, I think episode 2, so right out of the gate. It’s when the Roses return to the hotel to find their door open, and Moira believes they’ve been robbed. She’s looking for the earrings she hid in a kleenex box, which leads to a completely absurd sequence of her looking in…
Alexis breaking the bathroom sink in Rose Apothecary having sex with Ted while she was supposed to be watching the store, and then trying to cover it up.
