That would be nice to force fans to learn more about other drivers. And you’re right that I fail at math.

I don’t get how you can say that. This is a thing of sublime beauty.
I hated Fanboost when I first started watching. The fact that the same big-name drivers got an extra boost of power race after race seemed so unfair.
It was definitely a bit ridiculous last year when—was it two or three?—races in row were red flagged for a period of time longer than the race itself. A lot of these drivers come from GT and Touring car, where a little bit of rubbing is just part of the sport. Frankly, I think rather than penalize drivers more…
Note that CSJ was absent from my list. I think if McLaren ends up nailing the 2021 regs that Sainz could be a World Champion.
Once Hamilton retires (which I bet will happen in the next five years), the field is going to be wide open. And Ferrari is never exactly going to be a back marker. Based on his age and his positioning, I’d bet on Leclerc winning a title before, say, Ricciardo [1], Bottas [2], Albon [3] or Norris [4].
Or an effective manager literally anywhere.
Well shit. I’d been considering the new OnePlus McLaren phone for than conspicuously consumptive stick-it-to-the-man vibe, but this thing totally has the OP7T5GM beat on all fronts.
My signal generally reads as fine... unless it’s cloudy. And latency is low... unless I’m in a place where there are other people. But dropped calls, calls from people in my contacts that go straight to voicemail, and fake dial tones [1], those have been hallmarks of my T-Mobile Experience. Still beats the shit out of…
I know they have exactly zero to do with the design or really *anything* about the device beyond “inspiration” but McLaren calls to say hello.
Mini owner here. My sore back amens your praise of BMW seat heaters.
Furthermore, the M8GTE, as far as I can tell, has NEVER had yellow headlights. WEC and IMSA both have mandated clear headlights for GTLM / GTE from 2018 on. GTD still gets yellow lights, but the M8 is decidedly not GTD.
Budget cap and plug’n’play hot-swappable parts.
Literally from the first series of (modern) Top Gear. In a Mini. With grannies.
There are some adorable pics of some of the younger drivers having photo ops with the veteran drivers from when they were just starting out. Albon + Hamilton is probably my favorite of this genre.
I recently came across this piece from Hannah Elliott at Bloomberg: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-11-15/ford-v-ferrari-a-generation-of-cars-best-left-dead
Lewis Hamilton has been promised one, right? I wonder if this is why he’s not considering retirement or switching to Ferrari—he's not leaving until Dr. Z gives him his damn car.
Stoffel Vandoorne got on the podium in both races, which is a huge accomplishment given that Group Qualy is essentially Reverse Grid Lite. To think Mercedes reportedly considered putting someone else in his seat...
I am so called out by this comment.
