Correction... people aren’t buying small GM cars... they are however buying lots of cheap Kia’s, Hyundai’s and Nissan’s.

I still think I’m missing the joke... If I go to the US I have to pay a hell of a lot more, to the the tune of almost 1.35 CAD to USD $1. Maybe its been a long day of work and the joke so going over my head.

Go further on what? Everything is cheaper in the US than here in Canada.
$5,100 CAD = $3,800 US... yay Canada gets the shaft again!
If it gets more more Anthony, I’ll take de-aging CG anytime!
Or more to my point, you have the Note 7 which will be bricked because its been deemed “unsafe” even though the majority of owners have no problems. Will the same be for autonomous cars?
There are rumors he also has a secret subway car, which wouldn’t surprise me with so many stations bordering the palace. Also, would make sense for a quick getaway from the city core.
One interesting element missed but is a growing concern is “forced obsoletion” in the auto industry. Will all autonomous tech be equally good? If better tech comes out does it force obsolete the older tech, rendering the latter to the junk yard for “safety” reasons? Or will the outdated autonomous car be forced into…

Jia Yueting is worth $3.9 Billion while Elon in 2012, just when Tesla was getting going, was only worth $2 Billion. I’d say Jia still has a lot of cash to burn if this is actually his dream.

Depends where you drive and what you drive and where. My coworker drives a BMW with 18" rims and really low profile tires, constantly getting flats. Take where I live, Hamilton, Ontario, the road conditions are terrible and come spring after the snow plows have done their damage, there are scores of flat tires.
I think the issue more is WHEN you get a flat, its going to be when you overload the bed with too much mulch on your old tires.
