Jia Yueting is worth $3.9 Billion while Elon in 2012, just when Tesla was getting going, was only worth $2 Billion. I’d say Jia still has a lot of cash to burn if this is actually his dream.
Depends where you drive and what you drive and where. My coworker drives a BMW with 18" rims and really low profile tires, constantly getting flats. Take where I live, Hamilton, Ontario, the road conditions are terrible and come spring after the snow plows have done their damage, there are scores of flat tires.
I think the issue more is WHEN you get a flat, its going to be when you overload the bed with too much mulch on your old tires.
