Anyone have any ideas of how much torque its producing? Friend of mines contemporary tractor only puts out 200hp, but something like 600 ft.lb. torque.

But why....

I’m a bit of a safety nut and drive with a Leatt safety brace. I ride almost 1000km a week on highways for work on a Triumph Sprint GT...

Kill the Viper, release a differently named halo car. Sad that the lineage has been killed, but many times car companies or other union heavy industries will kill the ‘brand’ and re-release it under a different name. Only to resurrect the name a decade later after the unions control has ceased.

Ummm I’d do your research on “high quality” British made cars. If it comes out of the Midland’s it might be only as good as a Rover! Though, even Rover has most of the car made in China before being shipped to the Midlands to be fitted with engines and accessories.

They cost penny’s and limit (that is the important part to take from this), limit the decibels reaching your ears. You still hear all the sounds however the ear damaging higher decibels are eliminated.

How is it not political? National Defense is probably one the largest aspect of politics. The aircraft has everything to do with politics when its tax payers money.

If they are doing as a good job they are doing for the LRT’s in Toronto we won’t have them before 2050!

The TIE Fighter is the Japanese Zero of the Star Wars universe. Not particularly great, but wins the war by shear numbers.

Ugh, you make my head hurt.

Well blame the Conservatives then and now who have gutted our National R&D... we might actually be capable of building a new jet if we still had the engineering resources we once had.

Voted Liberal and good ridden to the F-35. This thing has been a disaster since day one. Welcome some open competition and not just a spreadsheet that the Conservatives worked off of.

Its not without precedence for Yamaha to promote a car concept, they have done it in the past.

Hold up and you assuming its 2wd or was it in the press release? It could be a regenerative brake instead of a motor.

It will eventually be a learning machine... it will have to learn the local customs of driving. Rural drivers drive much differently than cities drivers. There will have to be some learning built it. Maybe not the first phase, but its all moving towards true AI systems.

But that’s the point, we have to program selfishness over selflessness. And there lies a big conundrum because most scientific communities are torn on robotic morals.

Crazy scenario? Its really not a crazy scenario. You hear of it all the time when people “swerve” to miss a danger and end up striking a pedestrian. I don’t know what city you live in but most people drive closer to 40-45mph from the cities I’ve experienced.

I know Google is working on it, but its the ethics of a car crash that I want to know more about. Will the AI steer towards a pedestrian to ensure you do not hit an on coming vehicle? We instinctively will protect ourselves at the cost of another. Our laws are even set up that way. Yes AI will reduce the chances of

Well the CEO last time didn’t even know about the 13B REW development so I take Mazda’s CEO’s comments with a grain of salt. Plus, Mazda keeps a real tight lid on development and being small they are more successful at hiding things than the big guys. Mazda is still the small, humble, quiet company.
